The Modular Concept & Unit Description
The Trox air-handling unit (AHU) is a frameless yet extremely rigid product. By utilising a set of standard panels, various unit sizes and configurations can be achieved including horizontal or vertical AHUs. The adding of compartments or extensions to the unit for future unit upgrading is easily achievable. This system allows extraordinary flexibility to suit individual requirement.
Access for maintenance and cleaning is through a hinged door fitted with compression-type handles.
The units are mounted onto welded channel steel bases with cross supports at strategic positions to accommodate fan and coil mountings. Adjustable feet are provided to permit on-site levelling adjustments whilst elevating the unit off the plantroom floor to provide a dry condition for the unit’s base.
The unit casing panel is constructed from double skinned galvanised steel with internal expanded polystyrene insulation with a density of 32 Kgs/m3 giving an overall panel thickness of 30mm. The thermal conductivity of the insulation is 0.033 W/mK max. Stainless steel is available on special request.
The layout of the high quality fans and heat exchanger is done referring to a datasheet, reflecting the thermal and volumetric requirements.
Filter Sections
The units’ casing is specifically designed to accept standard filter combinations to meet different requirements. The whole range of Trox filters are suitable.
The mixing sections are assembled from standard panels to suit specific requirements. These are fitted with the high quality Trox parallel or opposed blade dampers with either manual or electric actuation.
Optional area:
Electric heater bank with auto or manual thermal cut-out protection switches.
Internal electric lighting
The roof can be made waterproof for outdoor use.
