The TROX FSD range of curtain bladed fire dampers , provides fast acting positive barrier against the spread of fire though ducts. The blades which are riveted to the top of the frame and securely locked to the bottom, also form a shield to retard the spread of smoke. These dampers are suitable for installation in walls and ceilings made from concrete or brickwork. The blades are held in the open position by a fusible link which as soon as the air duct reaches the melting point of the link the spring tensioned blades clamp shut to form an impenetrable fire barrier. There is a wide choice of sizes available for low, medium and high velocity applications and include rectangular, square, circular and flat oval connections.
